LAMKO proudly presents: Tiia as a candidate for SAMOK board 2019
Lahti University of Applied Sciences Student Union LAMKO proudly nominates Tiia Kettunen as a candidate for a board member of SAMOK for the year 2019! This past year, Kettunen has operated as the chairman of the board in charge of leadership and development of the student union, and of the activity of the lobbying team. Kettunen has previously operated as LAMKO’s head of communications in 2016 and as the head of events in 2017.
“In SAMOK, I am particularly interested in services and events as well as communications. I feel that with my help SAMOK could produce services that meet student unions’ needs, strengthen the training of operatives and lower the threshold to participate in lobbying. I have a lot to give for making SAMOK more visible and more impressive figure in the society. My strongest competence is communications and its development to be coherent, active and accessible “, describes Tiia.
“Tiia has proven to be a person who is able to get along with different types of people without any prejudice. Versatile views and the will to do good for all the students makes Tiia a top player for this field. She is a team player who thinks of others but knows how to create a space for independent working. I’m lucky that I’ve gotten to work with Tiia all these years, because working with her has been easy and mutually improving. She is definitely a willing operator to develop SAMOK’s services from universities to international level.” says the chairman of the representatives Camilla Pulkkinen.
During her chairman year, Tiia has reformed LAMKO’s harassment contact person activity, intensified co-operation between Lahti UAS student organizations and created a collaborative culture with the Student Union of Lappeenranta University of Technology. At Lahti in the autumn, all Lahti UAS departments will move to one campus, which has required work to activate the students to develop the university and to create positive energy throughout the group.
